I like seeing 中文 trending here!
The last few times I've checked the Discover page I've seen a Chinese language post trending here. I want to try and read some of those posts, with a dictionary to look up the (many) words I don't know, but I have only had time to skim them so far.
I studied Chinese in college and lived in Taiwan for a year, so I do know some Mandarin! It has been... a long time. Kind of an understatement, there, really. My kids are going to go to Mandarin immersion elementary school starting a year from now, so I really do need to get back into studying it again to help support their learning.
But it's not just nice to see those posts climbing for my own personal benefit. It's nice seeing that this is an international community! English dominates so much of the Internet, and a lot of other international communication obviously, but it's not how the majority of human communication occurs in real life. Seeing the other languages pops up is like being reminded about the real world, again.
